For months we had been sitting around wondering what if anything would ever be done about the massive amounts of cheating that were happening on the CSR2 game and especially in it’s crew events. A majority of the people on the game knew what was being done and yet it seemed like Natural Motion was just sitting by and letting it happen. That was until.. this past week.
Just like that they let it be known the game was going to be fought over. They weren’t going to just lay there while the cheaters abused the game up down left and right but instead levied a massive amount of bans against accounts that had been abusing a multitude of glitches and rp cheats. The best part of all of this was the information we were given about this not just being something that affected cheaters from the past week but instead cheaters as far back as week one of the game.
Now while this is great news there are still people who are abusing the game and you can tell that by just taking a gander at the crew rp earnings for the week already. But rest assured this is not something that Natural Motion is going to take lightly. They have already promised to revist the teams earnings weekly to ensure that the end result is one of legit racing and real earned RP.
They also have said they will be doing what they can to address all the “hacked” and “unreleased” vehicles that have been forced into the game. They know how it’s being done and with a big update down the road they are aiming to have these issues corrected in the next big release from their studio. Time will tell if Natural Motion is going to stand behind their claims but from what we have seen so far from them, the outlook on the game is getting a bit brighter as the weeks go by.
